The Osbournes It was the night before bleepin' Christmas: The Osbournes host their own holiday special on MTV next Thursday. Britney Spears, Mike Myers, Mandy Moore, Tracy Morgan, and others stop by the mansion. Don't ask what's in the egg nog!

Why duet, then? Some smash hit duets were not nominated for Grammys this year. Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow's "Picture," Uncle Kracker and Dobie Gray's "Drift Away" and Counting Crows and Vanessa Carlton's "Big Yellow Taxi" were all overlooked by the academy.

An anonymous telephone line set up by Santa Barbara police to help in their child molestation investigation of Michael Jackson has failed to deliver any fresh allegations against the singer.

Eminem has apologized--a second time--for a freestyle rap that disses black women he concocted as a 16-year-old. The rapper criticized The Source magazine for exploiting the old recording.

Simon Cowell has been named the American judge for the "World Idol" competition, set for December 25th and January 1st on Fox.

Courtney Love Courtney Love's lawyer says the rocker's been in rehab for the last two weeks. The singer-actress hopes to get clean, get her daughter back, and resolve her legal problems. Photos like the one on the left indicate she's probably where she needs to be.

Criminal investigators are searching Florida doctors' offices for evidence that Rush Limbaugh went "doctor shopping" to get the prescription drugs he's admitted to abusing. The term "doctor shopping" is used to describe a patient who goes from doctor to doctor with the objective of improperly obtaining multiple prescriptions for prescription painkillers.

R. Kelly and Pink have joined the lineup of performers for the 2003 Billboard Awards, which take place this coming Wednesday.

Andre 3000 Leading the pack: OutKast, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and producer Pharrell Williams (Neptunes) picked up six Grammy nominations each today.

Missy Elliott, Eminem, 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Evanescence, Chad Hugo, Ricky Skaggs, Luther Vandross and the late Warren Zevon had five nominations a piece.

See a full list of the 15,432 Grammy nominations here. Far as I'm concerned, give everything to Outkast and call it a night!

Showtime's airing of the controversial miniseries The Reagans was watched by 1.2 million viewers Sunday night--far less than would have seen it on CBS, but double Showtime's usual Sunday night programming.

Lost in all the hoopla surrounding the Michael Jackson case is the fact that the singer hasn't been formally charged with a crime. Expect the Santa Barbara County District Attorney to make the charges official the week of December 15th. How many counts Jackson is being charged with should be revealed at that time. The number of counts could have a huge impact on sentencing, if the singer is convicted.

Rocker-actress Courtney Love has reportedly checked herself into rehab.

The lineup for MTV's New Year's Eve celebration has been announced. Ludacris, Hilary Duff and Simple Plan are set to perform live in New York's Times Square.

But it looks like Ryan Seacrest has snagged the hottest group of performers for New Year's Eve. Outkast, Ashanti, Metallica, Wycleff Jean and Keith Urban join the frosted one on December 31st, live from the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas on Fox.

Rap mogul P. Diddy will design new uniforms for the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, set to debut next season.

Alicia Keys promotes her new album tonight on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The Diary of Alica Keys is on track to become the number one album next week.

Gwyneth Paltrow Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin are expecting. The actress' publicist confirmed a baby is on the way this summer, but dodged telling if and when wedding bells would ring for the couple.

Second chances: Meredith Phillips has been selected as the star of the next installment of ABC's The Bachelorette. She was the third runner-up on the recent "Bachelor Bob" edition of the The Bachelor.

Is Britney coming to your town? Britney Spears' 2004 North American tour is shaping up. Some of the cities and dates are on her website.

The Internet's Most-Hated? The New York Post reports there are over two thousand "hate sites" devoted to Britney Spears.

Jay-Z edged out Britney Spears and captured top-selling album honors. The rapper's The Black Album outsold Britney's In The Zone by nine thousand copies.

Paris Hilton's TV debut got good numbers. Thirteen million people caught The Simple Life on Fox Tuesday night. I saw what I thought was a promo for the show on the Internet recently--and I gotta say the show was totally different than I thought it was gonna be!

Are sex tapes the new Hollywood "fad?" Word is that a naughty video starring former Baywatch star Gena Lee Nolin and her then-husband (an actual video producer, no less) could playing on a computer near you soon.

Britney Spears Happy Brit-day: Britney Spears turns 22 today. Is this really the top story today? No. But I don't mind having her pic on my site!

"Seigfried" says "Roy" could be home by Christmas, calling his recovery from that tiger attack "a miracle."

Rapper 50 Cent leads the pack with six nominations for the 2003 Billboard Awards. Beyonce and R. Kelly snagged five each. The trophies are handed out next Wednesday in Las Vegas.

Beyonce and Sean Paul have finally been knocked from the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (they've ruled for the last nine weeks with their song, "Baby Boy"). Ludacris' "Stand Up" is the new singles champ.

Hey, Greg, would it be possible to mention Beyonce's name again? Beyonce, Jessica Simpson and Hilary Duff have agreed to perform on a Fox Christmas special December 15th. The hour-long show will probably be called Jingle Bell Rock (they rejected my idea… Hot Chick-mas!).

Bonus Beyonce: Beyonce will release a follow-up to her debut solo album before the next Destiny's Child album. It's expected sometime in March.

Hotel heiress and late night punch line Paris Hilton wants to sing. She's even working with 'N Sync's J.C. Chasez on an album. Well, we know she can make a video…

You're Still Never Gonna Get It: the R&B group En Vogue has reunited, with newly recruited singer Rhona Bennett. A new album called Soulflower hits stores on February 24th.

Celine Dion has cancelled performances of her Vegas show Wednesday and Thursday to attend the funeral of her father, Adhemar, who passed away over the weekend.

It's that time again: Jessica Simpson, Jason Mraz, 3 Doors Down, Bow Wow and Black Eyed Peas are set to perform on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC. When? That would be December 31st, Sparky!

Dr. Suess' The Cat in the Hat Oh, yeah… we forgot to count this money over here. Universal revised it's calculations at the last minute by just enough that their Dr. Suess' Cat in the Hat was able to beat Disney's The Haunted Mansion for number one movie honors, $25.5 million to $25.3 million. The earlier estimates had Disney winning this holiday flick fight.

Michael Jackson's accuser is reportedly in bad health, suffering from kidney failure.

How overeager are the press to unearth Michael Jackson dirt. Santa Barbara police say their offices have been bugged by the media. They're not amused--and vow to prosecute the perpetrators.

Yikes! The album John Lennon signed for the man who would shoot and kill him a few hours later is being sold online. The copy of Double Fantasy includes assassin Mark David Chapman's forensically enhanced fingerprints, and has a price tag of $525,000.

This just in from John Lennon's grave… he just turned over!

WWE fans who miss watching Mankind, aka Mick Foley, in action will be happy to hear that CBS is developing a detective series for the charismatic former wrestler.

Golfer Tiger Woods is engaged to Elin Nordegren, the Swedish model he's dated for two years. Even when it comes to marriage, Tiger has no problem finding the gren (Norde-gren).

Twenty Elvis Presley songs will be featured in a new Broadway musical about "a magical jukebox" debuting in spring of 2005. I vaguely remember encountering a magical jukebox one night in some dank bar (but that might've been the result of an encounter with a "supernatural bottle of Tequila").
